Smal Groups

- For women who have lost a spouse.

The Owls group normally meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 11:30. We enjoy a light lunch together, share a devotion, and relax with conversation. This group is for any woman who has lost a husband, recently or years ago. It is a time for sharing, fellowship, and support.

Men's Bible Study

Men's Bible Study meets on the fourth Saturday of the month at 8:00 a.m. We spend an hour having good conversation around the week's lectionary reading texts.

Contact Gary Rieniets or Pastor DeWayne for more information.

Men's Breakfast

Once a month, men of St. Peter gather for a hearty breakfast at church. We meet on the last Saturday of the month at 8:00 a.m. although we don't meet during June, July, or August. There is a freewill donation to offset the cost of the food. The coffee's hot and all men are welcome!

Contact Jim Fahrion or the church office for more information or to RSVP.

Senior Fellowship Lunch

All seniors are invited for lunch and conversation on the third Friday of the month at 11:30 a.m.

Contact Jim Daack or the church office for more information.

Project day is the first Thursday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come for the whole day or stay as long as you can. Spend time visiting and making quilts which will be donated to Lutheran World Relief.

Quilts offer a tangible sign of God's love to those in need. A quilt can become a clean, cozy bed cover, a baby carrier tied around a mother's back, a shawl, a sunshade, and more. See this site to see some of the uses our quilts are being put to.

Contact Alice Wagner or the church office for more infomation.

Prayer Shawls

Our group meets on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. We gather for knitting or crocheting prayer shawls. Our shawls are given as a tangible, meaningful symbol of support during challenging times and celebrations.

Contact Sharon Cruse for more information.

Rubber Stamping with a Purpose

Our group makes cards for residents at Luther Manor, congregational members, and others. Interested? Join us at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Attention all who save Campbells Labels for Education:

Up until now, Campbells has asked us to save front labels from their products, but now they are changing their requirements and ask that we save only the section with the UPC insignia, meaning the "bar code" and Point Value coupon (if there is one). Beginning in 2014, they will not accept labels, only "bar codes." This will save postage, eliminates cutting and counting labels, etc.

There are over 800 groups and individuals who are or who have in the past, sent labels and all have received this information. Please continue to help get school necessities and vans for the Navajo Lutheran Mission School in Rock Point, AZ.

Also remember to save General Mills Box Tops for Education. Along with many cereals, the box tops can be found on Pillsbury rolls, Yoplait yogurt, Potato Buds, Nature Valley bars, Betty Crocker mixes, Ziploc storage bags, Cottonelle paper products, and Hefty plastic tableware and bags.

Please place the bar codes and coupons on the white wire rack in the overflow room.

Thank you. —Anne Hanselmann
